How to Remap Power key in Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10 Plus

Samsung removed the Bixby button in Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10+. The Bixby button for launching the voice assistant of the same name repeatedly caused the users to complain about Galaxy smartphones. Everything suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will remain without this button, which we are glad to hear. So The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ do not come with a dedicated Bixby key. Samsung has gone back to its traditional ways and only put volume and power buttons on its new flagships, and Bixby can now be fired up by holding down the power button.

you can specify what app you want to launch with a double press of the power key, so it’s no longer just a shortcut for the camera as it is on existing Galaxy phones. And while the power button is assigned to launching Bixby Voice with a long press by default, you can turn this off and use the power button for accessing the power menu. 

Bixby is Samsung’s take on the pocket assistant, combining machine learning, voice assistants, visual help and more into an all-encompassing helper.

How to Remap Power key in Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10 Plus

  1. Go into Settings > Then advanced features > Side Key
  2. Or, pull down the quick panel and turn on power key for Bixby

Now you have two types of option “Double Press or Press and hole”

In Double Press

  • Quick launch Camera
  • Open Bixby
  • Open App

Press and Hold

  • Wake Up Bixby
  • Power off menu

If you remap power key in these options except Power off menu so…. Alternatively, on the power off screen find the Settings icon on the top right corner, tap on it and turn it on.

Once this setting is done, whenever you press and hold the Power key, Bixby will be at your service!


After setting up the Power key as Bixby Key, use the upper quick panel to turn off the phone.
