 [Xiaomi MIUI 14] How To Lock The Screen In Five Different Ways

In December 2022, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi introduced MIUI 14, the next generation of its MIUI operating system. MIUI 14 is being rolled out gradually for Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco smartphones. 

The Chinese tech maker is calling its latest custom Android skin the most optimized and streamlined MIUI ever, and the skin has some new features as well. Here in this blog article, you will find different methods of MIUI 14 to lock screen. Now you can use all multiple “lock screen” entrances just for your convenience.

Lock Screen Methods:

Power button:

The power button is visible on the right side of the phone, which turns the smartphone on and off. On the other hand, almost all electronic devices have a power button or a power switch. Typically, the device turns on when a user presses the button and turns off when they press it again.

Quick Ball:

One of the special features is MIUI 14’s Quick Ball which provides five virtual shortcut buttons on the home screen of your Xiaomi device. This quick ball feature is also there in previous MIUI updates till MIUI 8.

By default, the Xiaomi MIUI Quick ball feature is a combination of the five different shortcuts Power button, Home menu, Back button, ScreenShot, and Recent button. Quick Ball puts shortcuts to all frequently used features at your fingertips. Just tap on it and tap on the Power button.

How To Enable Quick Ball Feature:

  • Head over to the Settings 
  • Scroll down and click on Additional settings
  • Tap on the Quick Ball, and enable Quick Ball by clicking on the toggle
  • Now you are done.

Accessibility Menu:

If you enable the Accessibility Menu shortcut on your Xiaomi device, an additional interface appears in the lower right corner of the home screen. This feature provides many shortcuts to manage the home screen as well as the Power button.

How To Enable Accessibility Menu:

  • Go to Settings on your phone.
  • Scroll down and tap on the Additional settings.
  • Tap on Accessibility.
  • Select the Accessibility menu.
  • Then Turn on the “Accessibility menu shortcut.”

Auto Screen Off:

Auto Screen Off is the feature ability to automatically off screen using proximity sensors. Usually, you can choose 15 seconds to 10 minutes to turn off the screen.

  • Open Settings
  • Tap Sleep to enter “Always-on Display & Lock screen.
  • Tap to Select Period of time to lock the screen automatically.

On Control Center:

The New MIUI 14 Control Center is a unique phone customizer, and it will change the way you use your device. You can personalize your phone easily with MIUI or iOS design with a powerful Control Center. Furthermore, you can also lock your phone’s screen in simple steps.

  • Firstly, swipe down the Control Center panel.
  • Find the lock screen button.
  • Simply tap on it.
