Samsung Gear S3 LTE new update brings Tizen 4.0 OS on Verizon network in the US. The update is coming to the Frontier and Classic both models.
The latest update comes with Tizen Operating System 4.0 as well as exciting new features for your Gear S3 frontier. The update also brings new messaging features, Quick panel settings, multitasking on call, easier accessibility and more for your Gear S3 Classic and Frontier.
Verizon Gear S3 Classic and Frontier are receiving this update as build version R775VVRU1CRL8 and R765VVRU1CRL8 respectively.
Unlock easily with bezel
Unlock your Gear S3 easily by rotating the bezel without having to worry about typing the wrong pin code on the small keypad.
Rich and fun messaging experience
Preview MMS in the notifications, reply back with a view of your messaging history, express yourself with new emojis. Your messaging experience on the Gear S3 has never been this fun and easy!
Multitasking while on a call
You can now use other features and apps while on a call, such as opening the calendar or checking the weather, by tapping the home key. Simply return to the call menu via quick panel or recent apps screen.
Manage your workout sessions more efficiently
You can freely edit default workouts and have 8 new indoor workouts such as bench press and arm curls at your disposal. You can also record workouts one after another and get a glance at all your results in one place.
Do not disturb
Need a break from your busy life? With help of Theater and Goodnight mode, easily accessible from the Quick Panel, you can quickly block unwanted disturbances while in an important meeting, taking a nap, or just relaxing.
With Voice Assistant, you can use voice commands on apps such as Samsung Health, Pay and SmartThings. In addition to swiping and pinching, bezels can also be used to navigate the device and zoom in text.
