T-Mobile Huawei P20 Pro getting EMUI 9.0 update based on Android 9 Pie

Huawei is getting EMUI 9.0 update for Huawei P20 Pro on T-Mobile network in the US. The EMUI 9 update based on Android Pie. Android 9.0 Pie brings gesture-based navigation, New Quick Settings UI design, Redesigned volume slider, Advanced Battery with AI Support and more.

The size of the update is 4.12GB. The P20 software version is CLT-L29

The EMUI 9.0 update also brings features like GPU Turbo 2.0, HiVision visual search, Password Vault, Digital Balance dashboard, and more.

The new update brings several features including new SmartCare AI learning, Multi-task-switching between each app and latest Security Patch. Huawei says that EMUI 9 will offer 12.9% better performance and 10% better app load times, compared to EMUI 8. It also features Natural UX design with integration of nature’s sound and color with natural minimalist style, returning to the natural immersive design.

The GPU Turbo 2.0 can enhance touch controls in games and works in concert with the App Assistant feature to deliver a “smooth, premium mobile gaming experience.”

It also brings a new Password Vault that is a software program that keeps a number of passwords in a secure digital location. By encrypting the password storage with face or fingerprint for various services, the password vault offers users the ability to use a single master password for accessing a number of different passwords used for different websites or services.

EMUI 9.0 additionally brings a new Digital Balance dashboard that allows users to track device usage metrics and let them set the usage quota for each app.
