OnePlus 7 Pro and the regular OnePlus 7 will be made official on May 14th, but in the meantime, we have a lot of official leaks and rumours about the smartphone. OnePlus 7 Pro rumours suggest it’ll have a 90Hz variable refresh rate display. OnePlus 7 Pro leaks suggest the device will have a motorized camera setup.

OnePlus is teasing the camera capabilities of the OnePlus 7 Pro. Recently OnePlus posted a three-part camera teaser of a bird on a seaside log, which represents an ultra-wide, regular and a telephoto lens. Looks good but let’s not judge the camera quality based on the samples provided by the manufacturer itself.

I mean almost all of the time professional photographers take these photos with a tripod and all of the expensive equipment but what we can judge is the capability of the lenses. Clearly, it has a 3x optical zoom, although it’s nowhere near the 5x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom of the Huawei P30 Pro it certainly puts up a good fight.

Also, the phone takes good photos in low light conditions as well. Some people have got this phone already for review and as per early analysis, the device handles night scenes well and is refreshingly quick at capturing images at night.

You will get a free screen replacement if you pre-order the OnePlus 7 Pro in India

OnePlus has an interesting deal for folks who pre-order the OnePlus 7 Pro. You see, smartphone are getting bigger and at same, the bezels are becoming nonexistent. So this makes smartphone displays more prone to breaking if accidentally dropped. A heavy case would solve the problem but a lot of people don’t like putting cases on their phones. I don’t like it either. In my opinion, it takes away the beauty of the phone. So we’re constantly in danger of getting the screen cracked if dropped accidentally. But OnePlus got people like us covered.

If you pre-book the OnePlus 7 Pro by paying 1000rs or $15 you’ll get a one-time free screen replacement. The display is the costliest component in a smartphone so this is really a good deal. And it would be really appreciated if more companies follow suit.

BY the way, right now this deal is only for India! Not sure if OnePlus has any plan to expand this to the rest of the world. In any case, if they do I’ll surely keep you posted.

Does OnePlus 7 Pro really has the best smartphone display?

So a lot of people got confused when DisplayMate who tests displays of various smartphones said that the OnePlus 7 Pro has the highest A+ rating in their display test. They thought it has a better display than the Galaxy S10 which is not really true. DisplayMate never said OnePlus 7 Pro is at the top of their rankings. They just gave it an A+ just like every other flagship smartphone. And to be honest, DisplayMate’s ranking is really messed up. Instead of giving it a grade why not give a score so that it’s easy for us to understand where these smartphones rank in their system.

Anyway, OnePlus 7 Pro has a 90Hz display which is really cool but Max who’s one of the reputable leakers out there says the refresh rate isn’t fixed at 90Hz. It changes between 60 and 90 depending on the application, which is a good thing since 90Hz eats up a lot of battery life so this variable refresh rate makes sure you’ll get a good battery life as well.
