According to the latest data from market research firm Counterpoint Research, in the first quarter of this year, China’s mobile brand in India’s market share hit a record high by Xiaomi scored 66% in the Indian market.

Specifically, this statistical report pointed out that although Xiaomi’s shipments in India fell by 2%, it is still India’s largest smartphone brand, and Samsung ranks second. The shipment of Vivo surged by 119% and OPPO increased by 28%.

While the smartphone market offers a big opportunity, one can’t ignore the 400 million feature phones users in the market which too is likely to stay for the next five years in India.
