The recently released Huawei P30 Pro has received the world’s first camera with a fivefold optical zoom. To achieve this result, the manufacturer had to rethink the design of the device, using the principle of the periscope. The authors of the YouTube channel TechMagnet visited the Huawei service centre, where the company’s specialist disassembled the smartphone and demonstrated its internal layout.
The smartphone was disassembled at the Huawei service centre in Vienna, Austria. The whole process was handled by a specialist company with 20 years of experience. After removing the glass cover by heating, immediately the view opens four cameras and a wireless charging coil mounted over the battery.
Four cameras Huawei P30 Pro are divided into two blocks. The first includes a 40-megapixel main module (the largest), a 20-megapixel ultra wide-angle module above it, and a ToF sensor for analyzing the depth of field from the side. The second block consists of one telephoto lens, which is located along the body of the smartphone, and not perpendicularly, like the other three. Such an arrangement made it possible to increase the distance between the sensor and the lenses in order to achieve the desired focal length. The image gets on the matrix through a small mirror located at an angle.
Recently it also became known that the cost of the components of the camera Huawei P30 Pro is $ 56. For comparison, the triple camera Galaxy S10 / S10 + costs Samsung $ 44, and Apple spends $ 34.5 for a couple of modules on the iPhone XS / XS Max.
